About The Refill Den

The Refill Den is a family-run plastic-free refill shop based in the lovely Courtyard Craft Centre at Lytchett Minster, Dorset. We stock a wide range of food, household and personal care products, all sold loose by weight so you only buy what you need and bring your own container to take it home in.

The shop was founded with a simple belief: that living with less waste should be easy, affordable and even enjoyable. Not every switch to a zero-waste lifestyle has to be a sacrifice — often it’s an upgrade. Better quality food, cleaner products, less clutter, and the satisfaction of knowing you’re doing your bit for the planet.

Our history

The shop originally opened as Our Planet Zero Waste in 2019. Two years ago, we rebranded to The Refill Den to better reflect our focus: a cosy, welcoming den where you come to refill, and leave feeling good about what you’re taking home.

Jen (the owner) and her mum Helen run the shop between them, fitting it around family life in the Dorset area. It’s a community shop in every sense — run by locals, for locals, with a genuine passion for making a difference.
